Soundbox manages all special electrical requirements within the Hamilton Convention Centre, including:

- Support for high-demand events such as dance competitions, productions, and multi-room conferences
If your event requires additional power beyond standard wall service, we recommend sharing those details early to support planning and safe installation.
When is it necessary to order power for your event?
Typically, the rule of thumb regarding the use of power at the Hamilton Convention Centre is: if there is a need to plug in a power bar or extension cord, then an order for power should be made with Soundbox.
The chart below offers some examples of situations that power would need to be ordered:
